Contact here What is this error and how do I fix it? Can anyone help explain what is going on. I have already paid to have the control panel changed out and I am still continuing to get the same error. Any help you can provide is much appreciated thank you A loud humming noise. It lasted about an hour then stopped. This morning on the freezer side things are melting. On the fridge side it seems to be fine. On the display that left side where the freezer temp should be it says 5- on the right side where the fridge temp should be it says 11- Can anyone help? Check the temp in the freezer with an external thermometer and go from there. -RR No light on refrigerator side but freezer has light. The control panel seems locked up. Help!! Thank you! We have unplugged it for 10-15 minutes as well as turning it off then back on. We have tried resetting the temp setting on both the fridge and the freezer.Manuals say to hit reset but there is no reset on this display. Buttons don’t seem to respond to anything. Just flashes power failure and beeps and won’t do anything else. Tried resetting breaker while plugged in, etc. Nothing is working. Is the board fried? It started after a power outage, it will go to 1 and keeps beeping. On the electronic display it has a fault code “3E” on the freezer side of the display. I can’t seem to find that anywhere so I can fix the unit. Any help or guidance would be helpful. Thanks It beeped for awhile then it stopped and the display went back to normal. What’s wrong? This is the fridge in my office and i cant find any information on the problem. Please let me know if you ever figured it out. Thank you I even unplugged for 5 seconds. Cannot see arrows on Frigidaire to touch up or down. Suggestions. Light is off in fridge and freezer. Temps still cold.

Help or suggestion. Thank you. I even read manual and tried few things. It is now getting warm. The error codes for the freezer is 0.for the refrigertor it says F. What does this mean? I try to reset the temperature and after 5 minutes it goes back to H1 and beeps again. I have also heard a clicking sound when sometimes. What part would I need to fix this. It’s about 4- 5 years old.Model glfh21f8hbd. I removed the ice bucket and got the same result. Getting 5y CF code. It shut the fridge and freezer down, is that right. I read it’s a communications issue and that it’s the white wire in the 3 wire harness. No way to bypass this. I don’t need communication! I didn’t google it and there was no mention of the code in manual. The freezer worked fine, but the refrigerator only cooled to about 60 degrees. Tech came out and said that the fan motor and main board had to be replaced. This was done, but SY EF came back on. Finally their senior tech came out and talked with a Frigidaire tech over the phone and diagnosed that there was a short in the electric wiring harness that could not be repaired locally. The process took a month but we now have a new operating refrigerator. Very frustrating. The fridge is at a cottage and everything was shut down for the winter. No power or heat. When power was switched on fridge did a single beep and that was all. No lights on in the fridge either. Control panel does not react to any attempts to activate any of display functions of the panel. Fridge is just short of 2 years old. Took the display panel out of the door and brought it to a appliance repair shop. They said panel showed fault codes DF and OP.No lights inside the fridge come on. The fridge is at a cottage and all power was shut off from December to March. I pulled the control panel from the door and brought it to an appliance repair location. Can this panel be reset. Any suggestions for repair? The controls are on the refrigerator site.

On models where you press Fridge or Freezer to adjust the temperature (doesn't have separate up and down arrows), the temperature adjustment only goes one direction. When you keep pressing the Fridge or Freezer pad, the temperature setting will go up until it reaches the maximum limit and then starts over at the lowest limit. Before assuming it’s broken, there are a few things you can check yourself. To help you find the cause fast, we made this Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker troubleshooting guide: This part acts as the switch to turn your refrigerator ice maker on or off. A telltale sign that it’s the arm causing the issue is if you find your Frigidaire ice maker not cycling. Simply move the arm to the ON position and wait to see if this fixes your ice maker problems. Depending on your model, you can perform a hard reset on your ice maker using the control panel. Wait a couple of minutes and then hold the same button until it’s green. Frozen water will restrict or completely block water going to your fridge. Unplug the unit and turn off the water supply. You can defrost the line in a few ways. For more immediate results, blow a hairdryer over the line.

If your Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker not making ice persists, it may be time to call in a professional If you see an error code, look it up in the owner’s manual or online. It will tell you if a part has failed and may indicate one of the above problems. Before water goes to the ice maker or water dispenser, it flows through the filter to get rid of any impurities. Over time, the filter will reach it’s capacity and will clog up, restricting water flow. To find out where the filter is located on your specific model, look in the owner’s manual or look up your Frigidaire model online. A good indication it needs to be replaced is if your ice tastes bad! Here are 4 Reasons Why. New style Frigidaire refrigerators have built in diagnostic systems. If your refrigerator finds, sees, or detects a fault or error in the system, it will show an error or f ault code. The error code will display where the usual numbers are on the display screen. When an error code is displayed, your Frigidaire refrigerator is telling you a specific fault. If the error or fault is not fixable by you, it will require a repair technician. Don’t pull the power from the fridge if it shows an error code. If you pull the power plug it will erase the fault code. SB Sabbath Mode The Sabbath Mode is a feature that disables portions of the fridge and its controls in accordance with observance of the Sabbath and religious holidays within the Orthodox Jewish community. Sabbath Mode is turned ON and OFF by pressing and holding “?” on freezer temp and “?” on refrigerator temp for five seconds. If a high temperature alarm is activated during this time, due to a door left ajar, the alarm will sound for about 10 minutes. The alarm will then silence on its own and a red high temperature icon will display. The high temp icon will continue to display, even if the door is closed, until the Sabbath mode is exited and the icon reset. Please leave a comment below and we will assist you in troubleshooting the issue.

It is displaying H1 on the refrigerator side and beeps 5 times every minute or so Not sure what that could mean. I get it on the refrigerator side. This is the 2nd time in a few months, and although we have fixed the problem for now, the unit behind the panel keeps icing over. The fridge is about 8 yrs old, and I am trying to figure out if it is worth fixing, or should I just buy a new one. The control panel displays a fault code of 5Y EF. What can I do to correct this. Thx. Can anyone help? Error code 5Y EF There was also ice the motor was hitting. We are also thinking the refrigerator needs from or the new chemical like freon. If i throw the breaker and try stopping alarm, no response to silent alarm. Keypad seems defective. No lights in freezer or fridge. I pulled the control panel display and took it to an appliance store. Were you able to determine what caused your problem. Also what was the cause. Thanks Joey. Can anyone tell me the meaning of this code? Where the temperature is displayed it is saying H 1 7 (or H I 7) Then, when you open the door, the freezer side temperature have is flashing “H”. The freezer side is perfectly frozen and working fine. The fridge side however is cool but not cold. I’ve reset the alarm, the temperature setting, and even unplugged the entire unit for a few minutes but it keeps doing this. What could be wrong? Did you ever find out what it was. These Frigidaire appliances are junk had more problems with Fridge, Washer and the Microwave. It was beeping and displaying a code 7. What does that mean? Can you recheck the error code. We do not see anything in the database for Frigidaire refrigerator error code 7 and beeping. -RR Any suggestions? First symptom was it stopped cooling. No code at that time. Unplugged for a few days and plugged back in, to our surprise, it worked for about 4 days and then would not cool and got EF code at that time. What does H1 mean? Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes.

Plug it back in and it should clear the H1 error code. If not, increase the temp of both the freezer and fridge section and the H1 code will clear. -RR We have unplugged it and raised the temperature. That works for a short time and then it happens again. Sometimes it happens several times a day, other times it will go 2 or 3 days and not happen at all. Mine is doing the same thing. Where do I find the evaporator fan and circuit so that I can check and or replace? Error Code SY EF is the Evaporator Fan Fault. This usually means there is NOT enough airflow over the sensor, this can mean a faulty sensor, or evaporator fan motor. In convertible units that can function either as refrigerators or freezers, and is located toward the bottom of the unit on the inner back wall if necessary, remove the two lower glass shelves and the crisper compartments. It is for a side by side but will show you where the fan and circuit board are located. -RR We changed out the control board and still not working. What could still be the problem? What is the problem and what should I do? I dont want it to cause a fire to start and we dont knkw much about refrigerators. If we order thr control board, where is it on the fridge to replace it? What does that mean? In the meantime, even though the error code E6 shows, is the freezer and fridge section working properly? -RR The only thing that illuminates and works on the display panel is water, everything else is blank. Ice maker is making ice. Fridge is cold, but I need to lower temp but unable to on the display. You can check the wiring to it to make sure it is secure. Troubleshoot the issue further and you may find that you need a new display panel board. -RR When I push the “cube” button, it no longer shows an indicator light, but does dispense ice. The water dispenser and crushed ice indicators and functions work normally. It is only the cube that will not indicate that it is in that mode. What is the possible fix?

But when I put it back on water, it stops. Have expert look at and he replaced the board about a year ago. Then error came back. Checked the fan it is working. But when temp gets close to 0 it pops up again. Keep unplugging and plugging back in then works for awhile. Now it’s been working for almost a day but a afraid the message error will come back. Any suggestions, thank you!! Check for variant voltage (depending on high or low speed) between yellow and brown. If correct replace evaporator fan. If error code still exist, replace control board. -RR I pulled out main board and saw a couple bulged capacitors the bronze like color.I pulled the board and it seems there was a film over it and it was peeling underneath it was a lot of moisture and corrosion. First, find the cause of the leak and fix it. After the leak is fixed, clean the area to remove all moisture and any rust or corrosion. Then, replace the board that the water dripped on and your Frigidaire refrigerator should be as good as new. You may need new wiring harnesses if the water damaged them also. Let us know what you find or if you need help fixing the leak or finding the correct part number. -RR Please help! Check the wiring harnesses from the board to the damper. Be sure they are not loose or damaged. Review unit leveling, door alignment and door gasket seal. Look for evidence of poor seal between the door and the cabinet. If unit is cooling, there will be excessive moisture present within the unit and around the perimeter of the gasket. If unit is not cooling, place a flashlight inside the unit to detect areas where the door gasket is not sealing well. If necessary, level the cabinet, align door, adjust or replace gasket to ensure good seal. I guess the board is bad. I guess I have a bad board. The indicator above the cubed ice is not lighting up, but all features are working for the water and crushed ice. Model LGHB2867PFCA Not shows the letters IC.

Crushed ice is ok and the water silencing is also ok It’s also not producing ice. Please help. Thank you. The model number is DGUS2645LF6A, serial number is 4A52224462. There is a 13 minute compressor off time delay built into the control. The control is designed to fail safe. If the control fails the compressor runs continuously with a 30 minute defrost cycle every 12 hours. -RR Sometimes it is just the wiring harness that is damaged or is not secure, so check the wiring harnesses from the evap fan to the control board. If replacing the evap fan does not clear the error code 5y EF, then the tech sheet says to replace the control board if a new evap fan did not clear the error. -RR It also shows 5Y EF or H1c H1c. Should I still replace fan or I only change the control board? Thanks. I pressed the v for 5 seconds and then i pressed the other v button for 5 seconds and nothing happend. The buttons are not working. The display shows “Sb” while in Sabbath mode. (PRESS BOTH BUTTONS AT SAME TIME NOT SEPARATELY) If a high temperature alarm is activated during this time, for example due to a door left ajar, the alarm will sound intermittently for about 10 minutes. The high temp icon will continue to display, even if the door is closed, until the Sabbath mode is exited and the icon reset. It does not dispense crushed ice. Condensation went downwards, impacting the control board. This would NOT have happened if the control board were on top of it or accessible through a panel on the back or the sides. How can it be that after so many years of making these products the refrigerators are not far more intelligently engineered? Two days later, still no ice being made. Gallery French door. When I tap Ice cube icon, it lights up as it should. When I tap it again I get a display code of Ic -. Ice maker is turned on. Water dispenses. Refrigerator is 14 MONTHS old. If you have to tap on the ICE icon on the display, it would lead us to believe there is a wiring problem.

Can you tell us the model number of your fridge? -RR Just replaced defrost thermostat, now display shows correct temp on frig, but freezer temp constantly shows 33 and 34 degrees, back and forth. The freezer actual temp (with stand in refrigerator thermometer) is below zero. It’s been like this for over 24 hours now. You may have a loose or faulty wiring harness or electronic board connection. It sounds like a simple communications error. Hopefully it is that and not a faulty board. -RR Had been getting the flashing 4 error code. Had a repairman replace the damper. Still getting the flashing 4. Had the same repairman replace the main computer component. Still getting the flashing 4 error message. Unplug the fridge and it will keep temp for about 6 hours, then it stops again. The flashing 4 never goes away. Am I missing a reset procedure for everything to start working again. Is the problem with the fridge or the repairman? We cannot get the fridge fixed until Tuesday, and every 6 hours the alarm on the side door goes off because of the high temperature. Is there anyway to turn this alarm off. I tried pressing the Default Settings button, but eventually it goes back to the error message. Tired of hearing the beeping in the middle of the night! I’ve tried defrosting, that worked for a few weeks, but now the same problem is reoccurring. If so you can test the defrost components or replace them. If the problem is NOT related to defrost, try checking that the fan in the freezer is working as designed. -RR Is there a thermostat or something that acts like one that could be failing? Then noticed inside digital display for freezer flashing between 1 and H. Usually set at 5 for both freezer and fridge. What is this error? Unplug the fridge for 5 minutes. Plug it back in and you should be able to clear the error code. If not then there is an issue with cooing. Can you set the temp to be cooler or is the fridge not responding or cannot get to the desired temp?

Reposition the rack to provide proper clearance between the meat and the element. Many people are apprehensive about using self-cleaning features, and it turns out they have good reason to be — sort of. It's important to remove all racks and shelves from the inside of the oven in order to prevent damaging them or their finish. Never clean the gasket, which is the rubber tube around the door, because you could damage the rubber. This will impair door sealing effectiveness, compromising your oven's ability to retain full heat. Use soapy warm water to clean off any larger spillover residue spots on the oven floor, as these can superheat and cause smoke or scorch marks, especially when acidic or sugary foods like sauerkraut, tomatoes or milk are involved. Speed clean will give you a two-hour cleaning cycle versus the standard three-hour in regular self-cleaning mode. Press your desired cleaning mode, then push the arrow up or down buttons. You should see the length of time for your selected cleaning mode — two hours or three hours. At this point, it will be possible to open the door again. For starters, never, ever self-clean an oven without being around to make sure nothing is going wrong. And if old grease or other debris does catch fire during the cleaning, never open the door or the rush of air could cause a serious fire. If the fire continues growing inside the oven, call the fire department and get ready to leave, if necessary.

Occasionally, the rack will become warped or distressed, or it may be missing from your oven. In these cases, it will need to be replaced. To replace the rack, simply slide out the old rack and replace it with the new one. It is approximately 2 inches in length and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. If your oven door will not close or your door handle is loose or disconnected, you may need to tighten or replace the handle mounting screw. Many consumers are nervous about using the self-cleaning feature because of the extreme heat, but being informed will boost your confidence. Frequent spillovers and splatters are best handled with frequent cleaning. Pick a time to clean when you'll be at home but out of the kitchen for a few hours -- to prevent breathing any fumes. Usually, you'll need to remove the racks and wash them separately. Metal racks will discolor and be harder to slide if you leave them in. Lock the oven door. You may need to fasten it with a lever or it may lock automatically. This prevents anyone from opening it during the cleaning cycle and being blasted by the heat. Time the cleaning using the controls provided. The time you choose depends on how dirty the oven is. Two hours is usually plenty for light cleaning. Three or four hours might be needed for a dirty oven. Let the oven cool after the cleaning cycle. The oven will turn off automatically when the cleaning cycle is over, but you won't be able to open it until it cools down to regular baking temperatures. Wipe away ash residue with damp cloth. The cycle should take less than an hour. Don't open the oven door during the cleaning process. When the cycle is finished, let the oven cool down. Then loosen dirt using a scrub brush or nylon scouring pad.

Follow the procedures outlined in whatever product or method you're using, but never have the oven on. Always empty the racks out before cleaning, so you don't damage their finish. If you're sensitive to cleaner fumes, be sure to wear eye protection and only work for short durations so you can take a breather in between. Always wear protective gloves. Doing this one at a time make sure that you properly connect each wire to the exact place it just came from. 4. Once all wires are secured, simply turn on the electricity and test to make sure it is working properly before putting the oven back in its place. This was the first time I’ve ever replaced a control board on an oven, and with the visual aid of some good YouTube videos, it was a breeze even for those who are mechanically uninclined, like I can be!??Taking old one off and putting this one one was easy, the problem is that even though I plugged all the wires in exactly how they were on the old one, all the buttons are wrong. I hit the bake button and it’s for the timer. Has anyone else had this problem. Can I change them up through trial and error (will be big pain in the ass), or did I get the wrong part completely. Please helpThis new one started doing the same thing within the first two weeks. Our oven is a Kenmore and has been having this runaway temperature problem intermittently for the past 12 years. We've narrowed down the problem to the electronic control module and we've been replacing it repeatedly over the years. This is our fifth module, but we've never seen one fail as quickly as this one did. Warranty was a total joke. Amazon said to refer to the manufacturer for warranty info. Contacted Frigidaire but they said they couldn't help us because our oven is a Kenmore and told us to call Kenmore. Called Kenmore but they said they couldn't do anything since we hadn't bought the module from them.

We should have returned it within the 30 day Amazon return window.Install tip: When you remove the faceplate from your old control board, I suggest using a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive that rings the outside edge of the faceplate. With a little heat and patience, you can peel it up without damage and adhere it to your new control board. The adhesive is only around the edges, so focus the heating there and pull evenly and slowly from one corner.I researched and found this item and decided it would be a worthy amount to attempt a fix rather than spending hundreds on a new oven. The board connected exactly as the old one did, and I noticed that the design was actually nicer than the one that I removed. The connections between the PCBs were not made by bent metal pins, but an actual wire harness which is nice. Everything fit well and worked right on power up.I was able to find a corrected overlay and apply it so all the buttons do what they say, success! It was SUPER easy to install. For every wire I took out it went right into the new one so there was no confusion. For the faceplate I just took a hairdryer to the old one and peeled it off carefully and replaced on the new one. Thank god for amazon!!! Now let’s just hope this one lasts until we sell our house lolThe only thing is that the buttons are in different places so we had to put label stickers over them so correctly label them. Out stove looks great and ghetto now. But at least it works! The only thing I can get to work on it is the clock. It won't allow the oven to come on so it was a waste of money but I destroyed the box it came in, so too much trouble to return. You live and you learn. I took a gamble because the numbers indicated it was the one that would work. You can even keep the overlay if you are removing it carefully with hot water and a spatula; then use contact glue.In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading.
